Meet the Coaches
Head Coach- Jon Kurrant

JK has a wealth of football playing experience having been a youth player at Arsenal under Steve Bould and Liam Brady from 11 until 15 amassing a number of appearances for the u18s under Neil Banfield. JK moved on to a Youth Training Scholarship at Charlton where under Mark Kinsella and Alan Curbishley he totalled over 25 appearances for the reserve side. In 2007 JK signed his sole professional contract for SPL contenders Aberdeen who competed in the UEFA Cup against Bayern Munich and Dnipro.

Due to injuries and an unsuccessful period, JK terminated his contract and moved back to England and attended Loughborough University. Here he achieved his BSc in Sport Science and Masters MSc in Sport Coaching. During his time at Loughborough, JK was introduced to Futsal via Pro Licenced futsal and football coach Idafe Perez Jimenez and England assistant manager Skubala, where he became a pivotal player for the National League side which earned him 11 caps for England becoming part of the first England team to qualify to the European Championship main round. 

 

JK holds the highest qualification in Futsal in England and will be participating in the UEFA B licence Futsal as soon as it becomes available and is currently undertaking his UEFA B Licence Football.

 Coach- Charlie Hyman

Charlie has a wealth of coaching experience for someone of 20 years of age. He has nearly completed his UEFA B Football Licence and is working towards his Futsal Level 2. Charlie is currently at Nottingham University as an undergraduate studying Geography, but travels down to coach and play for the ProFutsal London first team in the National League. He has experience in the Super League for Nottingham and Southerners; Genesis. Charlie's attention to detail and willingness to learn is something he attempts to instil and deliver to all of the elite and developmental sessions.

 Coach- Jabbil Chibwana

Jabbil is currently studying at the University of Bedforshsire as an undergraduate in Sport & Physical Education.  He started playing Futsal at the age 16 playing for the England Centre of Excellence (South East), training periodically throughout the year. Jabbil's progression lead him to be signed by  Kettering Futsal Club and continued to play for the University Futsal team.  Jabbil leads our Monday night development sessions with head coach Jon Kurrant and is acquiring all of his futsal qualifications and is now a first team player with ProFutsal London.

 Coach- Phil Caplin

Phil is heavily experienced in futsal. He has over 15 years in youth and senior international tournaments, national league and regional league level. More recently Phil has turned his attention to youth coaching where has is leading a GB representative Under 16 side in Israel. Phil will be co-managing the ProFutsal First team for the season 2016/17 who are competing in the National League South.

 Coach- Laurence Myers

"Lol" started playing futsal in 2008 and in 2009 represented GB in a Masters 35 plus international tournament .
He started coaching junior teams shortly after and in 2013 managed the under 16 team GB squad that won silver at a world international tournament, this was followed up by Lol managing a new crop of under 16s to gold at a European international tournament in Germany. Laurence is achieving all of his futsal qualifcations and will help co-manage the First team for season 2016/17 in the National League South.
